Amalia Navarrete, the founder of the company, has specialized in travel services to México’s Copper Canyon region for the last 22 years.
Before founding Amapa Tours, Amalia´s principal responsibility in México was to promote, to market and coordinate tour programs to this beautiful region in northwest México.
For many years she has guided tours to the Copper Canyon, provided logistics for cruise ships arriving at Topolobampo harbor, and made arrangements for groups traveling in private trains. She hosted seminars for travel agents in México, the United States, and Europe. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and German. These skills, combined with her years of professional experience in the travel industry, enable her to provide clients with memorable and a high quality travel experience.
Today, Amalia continues working with the local hotel suppliers, the Chepe Railroad, and the Asociation of Hoteles of Los Mochis, Sinaloa and Chihuahua to promote the spectacular Copper Canon region in Europe.
Guadalupe Agüero Loya works since 12 years as Tour Guide in the Copper Canyon. He comes from this region and knows very well the Sierra Tarahumara.
Thanks he´s father has Guadalupe Tarahumara blood, he is ¼ Tarahumara. He is one of the few persons that have contact directly with the Raramuri Indianers and he is from them accepted. As well chare Guadalupe with the Raramuris its passion for running. He has participated in the legendary “Ultramarathon de Cañones” 100 km long in Guachochi. He finished the marathon as part the top 30 from 800 participants.
In his free time coaches one group of Tarahumara runners. One of his participants is Ignacio Moreno, who was the winner of the “Ultramaraton de Cañones” this year (2016).
Guadalupe Agüero Loya works with the Amapa Tours Team and makes sure that our clients will experience unique and unforgettable impressions from the Copper Canyon. He speaks very well English.
Pedro comes from Teporachi, a town near Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua. With more than 25 years of experience guiding in the Copper Canyon and other parts of Mexico, he is a very dependable tour guide. Pedro is a licensed tour guide and speaks Spanish and English.
Lidia has worked in tourisms for the last 7 years. She is specialist in Middle America. She markets and develops tour programs and works as a tour guide. She speaks German, French, English and Spanish.
She is on charge of the french market and of the contracts for individuals and groups for the German and Italian market.
